They include the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC), Housing Development Agency (HDA), Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), Social Housing Foundation / Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) and the Community Schemes Ombud Service.

Minister Mamoloko Kubayi says the appointments will bring stability in entities that were sometimes “wreaked with infighting, rapid and frequent leadership changes, poor governance, corruption and loss of technical capacity”.

Kubayi briefed the media in Tshwane on Friday.

“The leadership instability, infighting and loss of technical capacity at both HDA and NHBRC, compelled us to appoint administrators for both institutions.

"In relation to CSOS, SHRA and PPRA, the board terms had come to an end. We will in the coming weeks call for nominations for members of the public willing to serve at the NHFC board, which is in the process of becoming a Human Settlements Bank.”

The following boards have been appointed.
