New-born baby boy found in a dustbin in Johannesburg

Paramedics were called to the shopping centre in Booysens, Johannesburg, on Friday where they found a new-born baby in a dustbin.
ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring says medics found the baby boy in the bin, wrapped in plastic.
“ER24 paramedics were called to the scene at 14h12 after security members found the body,” says Meiring.
He adds that, unfortunately, nothing could be done by paramedics and the baby was declared dead.
“The details surrounding this incident are not known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” says Meiring.
