New Covid-19 cases rise by over 6 500

The number of Covid-19 cases in South Africa now stands at 3,791,925.
The National Institute for Communicable Diseases said on Saturday evening that 6 527 new coronavirus cases had been recorded since its previous report.
This increase represents a 21.5% positivity rate.
The majority of new cases are from Gauteng (43%), followed by Kwa-Zulu Natal (26%), while Western Cape accounted for 14%.
The death toll has climbed to 100,363, with 3 new deaths reported.
The cumulative number of recoveries in the country now stands at 3 648 831 with a recovery rate of 96,2%.
