New smart school opens in Braamfischerville
Updated | By Silindelo Masikane
Amid the struggle for space at Gauteng schools, Gauteng Premier David Makhura has officially opened the newly constructed Braamfisherville Primary School No.2 in Soweto.
The school, which will be renamed Nomzamo Madikizela Mandela Primary School, accommodates 1320 learners and is a fully functional smart school equipped with smartboards and tablets.
Each class room caters for 40 learners and will use paperless technology.
Acting Principal Wandile Siwani says their motto is shaping the future against all odds.
"This year we hope that everything will run smoothly. We are excited to open this smart school, a school of the future," says Siwani.
