Weather SA forecaster Venetia Phakula says the cold front is expected to make land fall in the northern and western Cape from Wednesday, before moving over the interior by the end of the week.

"We still expect a bit of rain over Limpopo and Mpumalanga, but for most of the week we don't expect much rain over the interior, and that includes even into KwaZulu-Natal."

Phakula says since the interior provinces are still in the rainy season, the cold front might showers by the end of the week.

"But so far we are not seeing a significant system, not like the one we had that resulted in flooding in places."

Phakula confirms the temperatures will start to drop as we brace for our third cold front in as many weeks.
