Newborn found dumped in sanitary bin at fast food outlet in Gqeberha

Police in Gqeberha have opened an inquest docket following the discovery of the partially decomposed body of a newborn child with the umbilical cord still attached.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a staff member at a fast-food franchise in Cleary Park made the disturbing discovery on Sunday night.
Colonel Naidu says the body of the baby girl was found dumped in the sanitary bin in one of the toilets at the fast-food outlet.

The discovery was made around 8.30 pm on Sunday when a constant foul smell lingering in the toilet was investigated.
She says the police have no other information at the moment but are searching for the mother.
