Newspaper vendor dies in Pretoria traffic

A newspaper vendor was killed on Friday morning in Pretoria after the ended up in oncoming traffic.
The incident took place at 6 am at the intersection of Braam Pretorius and Elizabeth streets in Sinoville, Pretoria East.
Sinoville police spokesperson, Johan van Dyk says the 68-year-old man ran to cross the street into oncoming traffic.
“A lady on her way to work travelling on Braam Pretorius, knocked him over and he passed away,” said Van Dyk.
Van Dyk added that a case of culpable homicide had been opened and police investigations are continuing.
