Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Nine students were arrested at the University of Limpopo on Wednesday.
The university reopened after being closed for two weeks due to ongoing protests for free higher education.
Samson Rampawu is one of the students who were arrested.
"We were just walking to a meeting when we were arrested," he said.
Students took to the streets this morning demanding that extra security and police be moved off campus.
Earlier, police escorted an unknown man off campus after he allegedly slapped a student.
