No bail for suspects of gender-based violence, insists Limpopo Social Development MEC
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The MEC for Social Development in Limpopo Nkakareng Rakgoale has reiterated calls for courts not to grant bail to suspects involved in cases of gender-based violence.

Rakgoale says these men continue to violate the rights of women and children.
She was speaking outside the Malamulele Magistrate's Court during the bail application of a 63-year-old man.
The suspect is facing charges of murder after allegedly killing his wife Tsakani Maswanganyi at Mbhalati Village.
The police say the victim was shot several times during an argument between the couple.
"Our wish is for the perpetrator not to get bail, necessarily, because it sends a wrong message to say those that want to do this can still do it.
because once you give bail you are saying a person can still live life normally while other's children have lost their mother.
“Our message is that he must not get bail and at the same time there must be harsh hands of the law.”
