No construction on N4 this festive season
Updated | By MornéJK
The N4 Toll Route under management of Trans African Concessions, TRAC, confirmed that there will be no construction work to the Maputo corridor this festive season.

As traffic authorities gear up for peak traffic volumes between December 2016 and January 2017, TRAC says they are expecting thousands of holidaymakers and workers to make their way to destinations in Mpumalanga and Mozambique.
"Although the route is expected to be busy throughout this period, certain days are expected to be more congested than others," TRAC says in a statement.
The dates that have been identified as peak dates are: December 15, 22, 23, 30 and January 2, 8 and 10.

"On these days traffic volumes are expected to peak between 12:00 and 22:00 and in order to avoid congestion construction and major maintenance work will cease during the holiday period," the company says.
Construction between Hectorspruit and Komatipoort will be halted between 14 December and 11 January while the current permanent contraflow in that section will also be lifted during that period.
"Road users are however reminded that these zones are still considered construction sites and caution must be taken when driving through them."
