Updated | By Princess Mahogo
The Tshwane metro police has confirmed there were no fatalities in Monday’s morning’s crash involving two trucks on the N1 near the Lynnwood offramp in Tshwane.

The crash saw the two trucks which burst into flames.
Metro police spokesperson Isaac Mahamba says law enforcement officials will remain at the scene until all lanes are opened.
“There was an accident on N1 earlier this morning. Two trucks were involved and immediately they caught fire. Currently traffic is being redirected as all lanes are closed to traffic. TMPD will remain on site until all lanes are opened.
“There was only one person who sustained minor injuries from the truck that was hit on the back.”
Mahamba says one of the truck drivers fled the scene and has yet to be found.
“The driver of the truck that hit the other truck on the back could not be found at the scene. The cause of the accident has not yet been established, but it looks as if one truck was standing on the side of the road and the other truck drove into the back of the other truck.”
