Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Limpopo police are searching for at least two suspects who shot and killed a local taxi owner.

Fifty-year-old taxi owner Bernad Kgabo Phihlela was gunned down at the Polokwane CBD on Saturday afternoon.
Police say two unknown suspects arrived at the taxi rank in the city centre and fired multiple shots.
They then fled the scene on foot.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says Phihlela had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead on the scene.
“A case of murder was opened and it is being investigated by the provincial Taxi Violence Investigation Unit, which specialises in taxi-related crimes.
“The provincial commissioner has instructed the members of this task team to hunt down those responsible for this horrendous crime and bring them to book.”
