Metro police in Johannesburg has warned concertgoers that security will be tight ahead of Sunday’s Ed Sheeran concert at FNB Stadium.
It has hailed the traffic management plan during the first concert on Saturday as a success despite a couple of hiccups.
Some 60 0000 of fans gathered at FNB Stadium on Saturday to watch the pop star perform some of his greatest hits.
Metro police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says there were no major incidents on the night.
"Four suspects were arrested for smash-and-grab on Nasrec Road. However, the cell phone was later recovered."
Minnaar says they are disappointed that e-hailing services, such as Uber, failed to stick to the agreement.
"The agreed plan was to pick up and drop off at gate one at Nasrec Road, but instead they picked up customers at Nasrec and Randshow Road."
Minnaar says the Soweto highway will be blocked off from 11 am on Sunday.
