No plans by ActionSA to support removal of Joburg Mayor Mpho Phalatse

ActionSA caucus leader in Johannesburg Funzi Ngobeni says the party is satisfied with the leadership of the city’s mayor, Mpho Phalatse.
Ngobeni spoke at a media briefing at the Joburg city council on Friday.
"We are happy with our mayor, unlike with the speaker, we are happy with our mayor,” he said.
“Her leadership is alright. We think we are making progress as a multi-party in terms of the work that we do for service delivery. Under her leadership we are happy."
The comments by Ngobeni come after the Joburg council passed a motion of no confidence against Speaker Vasco Da Gama on Wednesday night.

Ngobeni says the party has no plans to support a similar motion of no confidence against Phalatse.
"They are free to bring another motion because the rules of council allow them to do so. We will engage with the motion again and see if that motion is legal. If it's legal then we will be ready to vote."
