No power for Eersterust
A power failure in Eersterust, Pretoria, is due to four faulty feeder cables, the City of Tshwane said on Thursday.
In addition, people were unable to call a fault reporting line because of a power failure affecting the Temba customer care centre, spokesman Selby Bokaba said in a statement.
Areas affected included part of Baviaanspoort, and Leeuwfontein up to Roodeplaat Dam. Power was expected to be restored within 24 hours.
Residents were urged to use e-mails and an sms line to the city to report complaints until the matter was resolved.
