Not all suspects were in house when Meyiwa was gunned down – Sitole

Police say not all five suspects, who have been arrested for former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa’s murder, were in the house on the day of the shooting in 2014.

National Police Commissioner Khehla Sitole and Police Minister Bheki Cele revealed on Monday that five suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder.
Sitole also revealed that some of the suspects arrested for the murder are already serving time in prison.
Among them is a key suspect, whom is believed to have fired the shot that killed the Orlando Pirates goalkeeper.
Last week News24 reported the alleged suspect was serving time in prison for killing a Johannesburg taxi boss.
The suspect allegedly used the same weapon in both crimes.
Sitole said ballistic evidence links the gun to the Meyiwa murder scene.
"We have been looking for the weapon for the whole duration of the investigation. But with the final tactics applied we found the weapon and fortunate enough the weapon is linked to the crime scene.”
Police expect to make more arrests.
All five suspects are expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
