Nothing will stop transformation at SABC: Motsoeneng
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
SABC Chief Operating Officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng says the public broadcaster's management adhered to the Broadcasting Act in all decisions taken.
The public broadcaster was grilled by members of Parliament's Portfolio's Committee on Communications on Tuesday.
This follows recent controversies at the SABC, including a ban on broadcasting violent protests and the axing of senior reporters.
These decisions have since been reversed.
Motsoeneng said nothing will stop transformation at the SABC and questioned the immense outside interest in what is happening at the broadcaster.
"...maybe the inquiry should be 'why are these people having so much interest'. Maybe we need to start with them and inquire about them," Motsoeneng said.
