NPA: We still have strong case against Vicki Momberg
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
The National Prosecuting Authority
(NPA) says it still believes that there is still has a strong case against
convicted racist, Vicki Momberg.

The former estate agent was granted bail in the Randburg Magistrate's Court on Thursday pending the outcome of an appeal against her sentencing and conviction.
The court granted her R2000 bail.
Momberg applied for bail after being granted leave to appeal both her conviction and her sentence by the High Court in Johannesburg on Monday.
No bail conditions were set.

Momberg was sentenced to three years in prison after she was found guilty of four counts of crimen injuria for calling a black police officer the k-word 48 times following a smash-and-grab incident.
The NPA's Phindi Mjonondwana says the state did not oppose bail since Momberg was almost eligible for parole, as she had served four months of her jail term.
Mjonodwana says the matter has been postponed to November 5.
"So they come to the court and report how far they are. They will present the progress of their application of appeal in November," Mjonondwana says.
