Ntlemeza gets Hawks top job
Updated | By JacaNews
Acting Hawks head Berning Ntlemeza has been appointed to the position permanently.
Police Minister Nathi Nhleko made the announcement on Thursday.
Ntlemeza has been heading the elite unit since Anwa Dramat was suspended from the position in December.
He was suspended for his alleged involvement in the illegal rendition of Zimbabweans in 2010. Dramat quit in April after a long-running legal battle.
Nhleko says Ntlemeza was endorsed by cabinet for the position.
