Ntlemeza to seek interdict against Mbalula
Updated | By MornéJK
Former Hawks boss Berning Ntlemeza will apply for an interdict to prevent Police Minister Fikile Mbalula from blocking his return to work.

"We have been instructed to notify the minister to refrain from what he is doing. That is to interfere with our client from going to work. We did warn him through the state attorney," Ntlemeza's lawyer Comfort Ngidi told Jacaranda FM News.
Ngidi said the affidavit is ready and only needsNtlemeza's signature before being filed.
"By end of business today (Tuesday) it would have been filed to court. Of course it will depend on the court in terms of when they will grant us the date of hearing the matter."

Mbalula told a news briefing on Monday that Nlemeza's application to the Supreme Court of Appeal does not change the fact that a court of law found him to be unfit to lead the Hawks.
"Let me be clear to Ntlemeza - where ever he is - we are running a country, not a 'banana republic'. At least when I am still here and Minister of Police I will not going to allow this nonsense," he told reporters.
Mbalula maintained that he is merely enforcing the law.
But Ngidi is adamant that any lower court decision remains suspended, until an appeal is heard.
"We are puzzled about the minister's interpretation of the law, because the matter remains suspended until the appeal is heard," he said.
Ngidi also confirmed that Ntlemeza returned the car he took from the crime fighting unit's head offices yesterday, but he could not confirm the return of the cell phone.
