NW Education hit by seven deaths

The North West Education Department is reeling after numerous deaths in its sector over the past two weeks.
Departmental spokesperson Elias Malindi says that the department is very disturbed after seven deaths were reported within a short space of time.
OFM News previously reported on the death of a teacher from Rutanang Primary School in Geelhout Park who was shot at the school gate, whilst two learners from Bloemhof Primary School died in a bus accident.
Malindi says a principal and general assistant from Kutlwanong Special School for the Deaf near Phokeng also passed away last week due to natural causes.
Deputy principal of Tlhoafalo Secondary School in Sannieshof died of natural causes and the of the teacher same school passed away after being involved in a car accident.
Malindi adds that the department lost another principal from Tlhabane Technical School earlier this week.
He says education MEC Mmaphefo Matsemela raised concerns over life lost within a short space of time.
