A 38-year-old man is expected to appear in the Brits Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday in connection with the death of his two sons.

The man was arrested on Monday.
He is facing two charges of murder in connection with the poisoning of his two sons, aged 11 and 12 years old.
North West police spokesperson Sabata Mokgwabone says the bodies of the two children were found on a smallholding near Brits on Saturday.
“The suspect, who is the children’s father, reported to the police that the victims died after allegedly drinking rat poison. However, it came out during the investigation that the father seemingly poisoned the children.”
Mokgwabone adds that the police is in the process of trying to establish the motive behind the murder.
