The Hawks in Limpopo have confirmed that a fidelity security guard was shot and killed while two others sustained injuries during a cash-in-transit robbery.

The shooting took place after their armoured vehicle was rammed by suspects driving Mercedes Benz and forced it to stop on R37 road near Thokgwaneng in Mecklenburg on Saturday.
"It is further alleged that the suspects fired shots at the armoured vehicle before they robbed the guards and made of with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects allegedly used a silver BMW 3 series as their gateway vehicle," says Hawks spokesperson Matimba Maluleke.
"Three guards were injured during the shooting and one of them died on the way to hospital."
The provincial head of Hawks major general Gopz Govender has ordered manhunt for the suspects.
He further warned members of the public to desist from tempering with crime.
People can be seen in a video picking up the money that was laying around after the robbery.
