A man was killed and five other people were injured in an early morning collision in Durban on Sunday.

Rescue Care Paramedics spokesman Garrith Jamieson said the accident happened shortly after 1am at the intersection of Walnut and Ordinance roads.
“One male in his early 20s was found lying in the back seat of one of the vehicles. Paramedics assessed him but unfortunately he had sustained multiple injuries and had passed away before paramedics arrival,” said Jamieson.
The man was declared dead at the accident scene. The five injured people were taken to various hospitals nearby. The cause of the accident was not immediately known, he said.
