Johannesburg metro police spokesperson Xolani Fihla says Wickus Road in City Deep was closed to traffic on Monday morning due to a truck crash.

The crash involved four vehicles and six pedestrians, of which one died on the scene.
Joburg metro police spokesperson Xolani Fihla said Wickus Road would remain closed for a couple of hours.
"Wickus Road in City Deep is currently closed off to traffic between the M2 and Heidelberg Road. Officers were attending to an earlier fatal accident scene involving a Renault Kwid, where the driver had succumbed to his injuries when a truck sped past them, crashing into other vehicles and pedestrians.
"Motorists are advised that Wickus will be closed off for a couple of hours for the processing of the scene, and they are further urged to use alternative routes such as the Heidelberg road and the M2."
