One killed, two injured in Bloemfontein crash
A man was killed when a truck collided with a car that was stuck in the mud on the side of the N8 near Bloemfontein, paramedics said on Monday.
Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said the collision took place about 30 kilometres outside Bloemfontein on the N8 in the direction of Botshabelo on Sunday night.
“A report from the scene indicate that a light motor vehicle had been stuck in the mud at the side of the roadway when it was hit by a heavy goods truck,” Botha said.
The two other occupants of the car sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital. The truck driver was uninjured.
