A single lucky participant has won the biggest PowerBall jackpot of 2025, totaling over R110 million.
The winning ticket was purchased via the FNB App with a R30 wager, using the Quick Pick selection method.
The jackpot had rolled over 15 times, reaching R110 million for the draw held on Tuesday.
ITHUBA, the National Lottery operator, has confirmed the win, expressing excitement for the lucky winner.
“We are thrilled for the winner and are ready to provide full support through trauma counselling and financial advice,” said Charmaine Mabuza, chief executive officer of ITHUBA.
"The winner will claim their prize at an ITHUBA office and has 365 days to do so. Winnings are paid out within 72 hours of a valid claim, and all National Lottery winnings are tax-free."
"Participants who win on banking platforms are notified of their winnings by their respective Bank and winners of more than R250,000 must present themselves at their local ITHUBA office to claim," Mabuza added.
