"Oscar Pistorius has suffered enough"
Updated | By MornéJK
A legal representative for Oscar Pistorius has submitted legal documents to the Supreme Court of Appeal, to oppose the state application for leave to appeal his murder sentence.
Andrew Fawcett says Pistorius' 6 year sentence for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp is comprehensive and balanced.
His legal team is arguing that Pistorius is a "broken man who killed a person he loved."
His team is opposing a petition to the Supreme Court of Appeals for leave to appeal against what Gerrie Nel termed "a lenient sentence".
Pistorius was earlier this year sentenced to a six year jail term on a charge of murder, following the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day in 2013.

In court documents dated the 10th of October, Fawcett says that Pistorius lost everything including the one he loved, his freedom, his career as a professional athlete and both his dignity and his reputation.
The SCA will now consider the submissions before ruling on whether the State should receive leave to appeal.
