The 88th Academy Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles last night and here are the winners.

Leonardo DiCaprio wins the Academy Award for best actor for his performance in The Revenant.


The Oscar is his first after six nominations since 1994.


The audience gives him a standing ovation and wild applause.


Accepting the award onstage at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre, DiCaprio calls for action against climate change, “the most urgent threat facing our entire species.”
