Over 200 pupils in Polokwane still without a desk
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The Limpopo Education Department says 246 pupils have yet to be placed in schools in the Polokwane area,

Most of the pupils who are yet to be placed are between Grade R and Grade 7.
In January, the department had over 1,600 unplaced pupils from all the districts.
"The number of learners who are yet to be placed in Polokwane has been reduced from 816 to 246," said Education Department spokesperson Mike Maringa on Monday.
"The staff is working around the clock to ensure the placement of the remaining qualifying learners."
Maringa said the department has acquired mobile classrooms to place the outstanding pupils.
The admission deadline was set for Wednesday last week, but the process could not be finalised due the delay in the verification of late applications.
"These are the learners who were rejected for various reasons and new applicants who recently relocated to the city.”
