Lehohla confirmed that a total of 93 000 jobs were created in the third quarter of the year alone, but warned that National Development Plan will not achieve it employment goals at the current trajectory.

"The NDP wants 24 million people employed by 2030," Lehohla said at the briefing.

Lehohla said that when looking at the quarterly employment statistics they are not convinced that that the NDP will reach its goal of reducing unemployment in South Africa to around 14%.
