Pandor to address SA's regret over xenophobic attacks at UN
Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Naledi Pandor is expected to echo South Africa's regret over the recent xenophobic attacks in the country.

Pandor is leading the South African delegation to the 74th United Nations General Assembly in New York this week.
On behalf of President Cyril Ramaphosa, Pandor will seek to remind the assembly that South Africa benefitted from international solidarity when confronting the evil of apartheid.
"It is an important opportunity to restate South Africa's commitment to being a country that receives all and that seeks to assure the equal treatment in our country," she says.
Pandor added that we have a record of receiving millions of migrants into South Africa and are therefore committed to the African unity agenda.
"We must make sure that every South African understands and shares that commitment, it is a task for the country, government, civil societies, but in the main, the people of South Africa are peace-loving people and committed to democracy and a united Africa."
Minister of Health, Zweli Mkhize, and Minister in the Presidency, Jackson Mthembu, are amongst other members of the South African delegation.
