Pandor to meet Ramaphosa over Koloane's state capture U-turn
Updated | By Gaopalelwe Phalaetsile
International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor will be discussing the conduct of South African ambassador to the Netherlands Bruce Koloane with President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Koloane, who appeared before the commission of inquiry into state capture last week, testified that he was not aware he had been accused of wrongfully using the name of formerpresident Jacob Zuma and two ministers to clear a Gupta private jet to land at the Waterkloof Airforce Base in 2013.
At the time, Koloane was the head of state protocol.

He changed tune after the commission furnished him and his lawyers with recordings of the telephonic conversation he had with an SANDF official.
Despite the fact that Koloane was charged and suspended for lying to the SANDF officials, he told the commission he believed his suspension was unlawful.
"I do think we do need to have a discussion with the president and it is my intention that we discuss whether any particular action might be merited. Be it some sort of letter, further training or any other action the president may deem necessary. So it is a matter I will be taking up."
