Parliament concerned Guptas will leave SA amid state capture probe
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
The Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises will call members of the Gupta family to testify as part of its probe into state capture.

The portfolio's acting chairperson Daphne Rantho says they are concerned that the controversial family will leave South Africa before they are able to appear before the committee.
"We are worried about the timeframes of the inquiry. We also saw that this family is selling their assets. As much as we didn't get a formal document that state that these people are leaving the country, we are worried. If they leave the country we won't be able to call them in for the inquest."
The committee is also waiting for a response from Parliament's chairperson, Cedric Frolick, to its request for additional to carry out the inquest.
"We said that we need a legal person to look at all the documents at our disposal. This person must look the legal aspects of everything and then give us the relevant questions we need to ask," says Rantho.
