Peacock rescued while strutting his stuff on Witkoppen
Emer-G-Med paramedics have rescued a peacock on Witkoppen after he snuck out of the Montecasino Bird Garden.
Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen says the Fourways Houdini is suspected to have run in with one of the 'Boets' at Montecasino Bird Garden, after he was making eyes at his chicks.
"Houdini decided that this was enough, and he tried to see if the 'Binnets' were better on the other side of the road,” he jokes.
Fortunately, this chicken didn't cross the road and was safely returned back to his beautiful home at the Montecasino Bird Garden.
“The Fourways Houdini is always keen for a chat with some boets at the Montecasino Bird Garden. Pop down and say HI!," says Van Reenen.
