Perpetrators of political violence must be 'flushed out': ANCYL
Updated | By Pieter van der Merwe
The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) says political battles can not be settled through violence.

The ANCYL addressed journalists on Tuesday after the death of the league's former secretary general Sindiso Magaqa earlier this month.
Magaqa was receiving treatment in a KwaZulu-Natal hospital since he was ambushed and shot in July.
"Criminals, who see our political leadership as a killing field, must be exposed and flushed out," the league's secretary Njabulo Nzuza told reporters.
He also praised Magaqa for his commitment to the movement, selflessness, and the contributions he made to the governing party.
Nzuza's comments come amid a spike of political violence in KwaZulu-Natal with close 100 officials believed to have been killed since 2014.
He also called on law enforcement agencies to bring the perpatrators to book.
"Law enforcement agencies must leave no stone unturned in the quest ot find these criminals and others responsible for the rampant assasination of comrades," says Nzuza.
A memorial service is being arranged for Magaqa at the University of Johannesburg on Wednesday.
The ANCYL in KwaZulu-Natal meanwhile plans to hold its own memorial service for Magaqa on Thursday.
He will be laid to rest in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday.
