Petrol and diesel prices to decrease from Wednesday
Updated | By Bulletin / Jacaranda FM
On Monday, the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy announced the adjusted fuel prices for September.

Effective Wednesday, petrol prices will drop by four cents per litre for 93 and 95-octane.
Diesel prices will also fall, decreasing 56 to 57 cents per litre, depending on the sulphur content.
Illuminating paraffin wholesale prices drop by 37 cents per litre, while retail prices fall by 49 cents per litre.
LP gas sees the most significant cut, decreasing by R1.32 cents per kilogram.
"The average Brent Crude oil price decreased from $69.06 to $67.01 during the period under review,” the department said in a statement.
“The main contributing factors are increasing production by OPEC+ and non-OPEC producers, slower global economic growth outlook, as well as uncertain trade tariffs.”
It said the relative strength of the rand also helped keep the prices in check.
“The rand appreciated slightly on average, against the US Dollar, from 17.76 to 17.73 rand per USD during the period under review when compared to the previous one. This cushioned the prices by close to 2.00 cents per litre on all products.”
