Petrol price to increase, diesel price to drop in December
The price of petrol will increase by one cent a litre, while motorists will fork out between two and four cents less for diesel in December.
Illuminating paraffin is going up by two cents a litre.
The Energy Department announced the latest fuel price adjustments on Friday.
Energy department spokesperson Robert Maake says the price of petrol was expected to drop, but increased due to an adjustment of the margins by seven cents coupled with the weak rand.
"If the rand improves in coming months, we could see the price of petrol drop as the price of crude oil is low," Maake says.
