Phase 1 of Gauteng online admissions to close on Friday
The Gauteng Department of Education has recorded 301 510 successful applications in phase 1 of online admissions since it opened in June.
The first phase is set to close on Friday.
Spokesperson Steve Mabona says phase 1 targeted parents and guardians whose children are currently in grade 7 and will be going to grade 8 in 2022.
“We are indebted to parents and guardians who have managed to successfully apply and wish to encourage those who did not apply to do so urgently.
“We urge parents and guardians who had already applied to urgently upload the required documents online or submit them at the school(s) they applied to.”
Phase 2 will start on 13 September.
“And this will be for parents and guardians of children going to Grade 1 and Grade 8 in 2022, but are not in a public school in Gauteng. Phase 2 will subsequently end on 8 October 2021.”
