A photographer for the City of Tshwane has been robbed at the Centurion licensing centre.
The incident happened during a visit by the City’s Mayor, Solly Msimanga.
Msimanga and his officials visited the building after a robbery which closed operations on Tuesday.
Tshwane Metro Police Spokesperson, Isaac Mahamba, says the photographer’s car was broken into.
“He came into the building and when he went back to his car, he found that it was tampered with. His camera and phone were stolen. I am surprised this happened during police presence,” says Mahamba.

Mahamba says the photographer has been encouraged to report the matter to the nearest police station.
Msimango told the media the burglary at the offices on Tuesday was planned.
“This was an effort by people who knew exactly what they were going for. It seems they knew exactly where things where. Machines that could have been stolen if this was opportunism, were not touched. Specific machines that would render 80% of services here unavailable were targeted,” he says.
He has assured the public that the computers stolen, do not have any of their personal information, including vehicle information.
