Photos: At least 18 injured in bus collision
At least 18 people were left injured after a collision between a bus and a truck on the Groblersdal road in Lephalale, Limpopo.
According to ER24 the collision occurred late last night when the truck driver allegedly lost control of his vehicle and drifted into the oncoming lane.
ER24 says the bus driver swerved out to avoid a head on collision, colliding with the side of the bus.
"When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that most of the passengers of the bus had already exited the vehicle," ER24 said in a statement.
After assessment it was found that all the injuries that were sustained ranged from minor to moderate.
Fortunately, no critical injuries were sustained. ER24 treated and transported two patients to Mediclinic Lephalale for further treatment. The remaining patients were treated and transported by other services on scene.
The cause of the collision remains unknown, local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
