PHOTOS: National Heritage Monument unveiled

Minister of Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa on Tuesday unveiled the new National Heritage Monument at the Groenkloof Nature Reserve in Pretoria.
The minister along with Gauteng Premier David Makhura and the Executive Mayor of Tshwane, Kgosientso Ramokgopa unveiled more than 50 statues of heroes and heroines of the pre colonial and anti apartheid struggle.
Yusaf Dadoo, Ray Alexander Simons, Professor ZK Matthews, Sol Tshekisho Plaatje are some of the icons honoured by the statues.
According to the department, the life size bronze statues are the first of 400 which will become part of South Africa's cultural heritage landscape.
