PHOTOS: One killed, several injured in N3 multiple car crash
One person has been killed and five people injured in a crash on the N3 south Johannesburg on Tuesday afternoon.
Paramedics say five trucks and five vehicles collided.
One of the trucks was transporting bricks.
Netcare 911 says a truck driver was extricated after being trapped in his vehicle for three hours.
"One of the patients succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the scene," said Emer-G-Med spokesperson Max Cohen.
The exact cause of the collision is unclear.
Police were on scene to investigate.
