[PICTURES] Freedom of Movement and Residence’ coin released into circulation

The South African Mint has released a new R2 commemorative coin themed ‘Freedom of Movement and Residence’.
South African Mint Managing Director, Tumi Tsehlo, says the release of the coin coincides with the ‘SA25’ series to commemorate 25 years of democracy.
“We have got a bird holding a key on there and the key symbolises unlocking freedom, opportunities.
“We have got a minibus taxi on the coin which is a symbol of movement in South Africa,” describes Tsehlo.
The R2 coin is designed by graffiti artist, Rasty Knayles.
So, before you pay the parking, take a second look at your R2 coin......
