[WATCH] Heartbreak as fire kills 200 animals in Brits
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
At least 200 wild animals were killed after a fire ripped through the Mulati Wilddienste farm in Brits, North West.

“The fire brigade came but there was nothing they could do,” Mulati Wilddienste’s owner Gustav Strydom told Jacaranda FM News.
Rooibokke, blesbokke, elande, njalas, zebras and ostriches were all killed in the Monday evening’s blaze.
Mulati Wilddienste is a game farm housing wild animals destined for auction.
“The animals belonged to various clients of us. It is a tragic experience and day for us,” said Strydom.
Local police are investigating a case of arson.
Strydom said: “We manage to only save the animals that were on the other sides of the bomas – it was only a few zebras, ostriches and five or six wildebeest but the rest of the animals weren’t so lucky.”
