[IN PICTURES] March against e-tolls
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The African National Congress (ANC) in Gauteng were on Friday joined by its alliance partners and civil
society in a march to the Union Buildings to demand the scrapping of the
e-toll system.

The march follows remarks by Finance Minister Tito Mboweni, in his medium-term budget policy statement, that the controversial user-pay system is here to stay.
The ANC says the system places a heavy economic burden on the residents of the province and needs to be done away with.
The party has in the past admitted that the unpopular system cost them votes during the local government elections in 2016.
