Former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa’s tombstone has been vandalised, according to the national soccer team.
Meyiwa’s tombstone was unveiled at Chesterville Heroes Acre in Durban in November.
Bafana Bafana revealed images of the damaged tombstone on their social media accounts on Saturday.
The images show slabs of granite on the ground, with the head of the tombstone face down.
A slab of granite engraved ‘Meyiwa’ is also seen on the ground.

His family was not immediately available for comment but spokesperson for police in KwaZulu-Natal Jay Naicker said no case of vandalism had been reported.
Meyiwa was shot and killed in October 2014 at the home of his girlfriend's mother.
Earlier this year, the National Prosecuting Authority charged five men with the murder.
