Pilot killed in Pretoria East plane crash
One person has been killed in a plane crash near Boschkop Road in Pretoria East.
According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst, a man succumbed to his injuries at the scene on Thursday.
It’s believed the single engine light aircraft came hurtling down just after 1pm.
“When medics arrived on scene they found the plane completely destroyed,” says Herbst.
“The sole occupant on board, an adult male was assessed, however showed no signs of life and was sadly declared deceased on the scene.”
The circumstances leading up to the incident will be investigated.
