Police attacked as violence erupts in Mogale City
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Protestors in Mogale City on the West Rand have damaged police vehicles and barricaded roads with rocks and burning tyres in a protest against crime in the area.

JMPD's Wayne Minaar says Robert Broom and Van Riebeeck Avenue in Munsieville are affected by the protest action.
Provincial police spokesperson, Lungelo Dlamini, says several police vehicles were damaged by protesters on Monday morning.
A flyer was distributed on Sunday calling for a shutdown.

Dlamini says the community-led protest follows the torching of three houses in Krugersdorp last week Thursday.
"The unrest stems from the alleged kidnapping of a young woman. She has since been found."
