Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The police in the Western Cape have opened a case of arson after a fire incident at the Justice and Constitutional Development building on Friday.
This is a few days just after firefighters battled the blaze at the parliament precinct for almost three days.
It is understood that the fire was started on a wooden door leading into the stairwell.
Cape Town police spokesperson, Wesley Twigg says the circumstances around the incident are still not known.
“Cape Town central police opened an arson case docket for an investigation after a fire was reported in Queen Victoria Street Cape Town - no one was arrested,” says Twigg.
The investigation into the matter continues.
